Introduction to edges
Edges is a topic that we are doing that is basically self explanatory it is about edges of things, all different types of edges and how they can effect a picture, pictures can also effect the edges because once you take a picture it makes a solid edge and it can't be altered or moved. This is why edges is an important subject in photography.
WWW: I liked taking these photos because it made me get a bit more creative and find different angles to take photos from.
EBI: I think it would have been even better if I didn't make so many small mistakes of things in the corner like my hand or foot.

I am pleased with the photos that I took, maybe I could have taken more but I think I am happy with the pictures that i have taken but I still feel like I could have taken a bit more time thinking about angles and positioning the mirror.
Why did I take these pictures?
I took these pictures to have different angles on one picture and I like how it is possible to do that because after you have taken them it has a really nice out come and made it look better that I even intended it to be.

Abstract paper shadowing
In this task we had to create shadows with a piece of paper that we crumpled up into a certian shape and a light that we shined on the crumpled paper, which made really cool and interesting shadows, because of how crumpled up it was. This task presented some challenges considering that the lights in the room were on so there were already some shadows on the paper but luckily the light coming from our phone was stronger than the light that was on in the room already.
WWW: I liked the use of shadow that I used and I experimented throughout and you can see that I had improved by looking at the photos throughout.
EBI: If I had got some more strange kind of shadows then that would be better.

Corner homework
The homework was to take photos of edges and corners are a type of edge so I took photos of the top conner and bottom corner of each room. I wanted to get some similar pictures and put them all togather and compare them all together.
Abstract paper shadowing (in the dark)
This challenge was the same thing as the photos of the paper last time (taking photos of paper, using a light to create shadows) except last time it was in the light and this time it was in the dark so it looked better because there were no other lights in the room and it was just the sadows that the light that we had were creating.
I probably enjoyed this task the most out of all of them because I had to find different shadows with the light that we were using. Then we put a coloured pen on top of the light and it made the light go green or blue or red and it brightened up the shadows and made it look more interesting and vibrant instead of just a white light.
WWW: The lights were brighter and the shadow looked better with the lights like that.
EBI: It could have been better it we took a little more time thinking about the camera angels. Because the outside of the paper background seemed to poke in from the sides there is quite a lot of the other photos that I didn't put in this gallery.

I liked taking this photo the best because even though it does not have colours, it is how I made it that I liked, what I did was I used my phone case to make it look like dots in the background and on the paper and it makes it look a little bit like a painting.
WWW: This photo shows good focus and it is creative with the phone case idea.

I didn't like taking this one because it seems a little bit lazy because it is out of focus and the colours just don't look right.

This is my first attempt at photoshop in photography. We had to make circles and turn the inside of the circles to a colour that was like a shaded red or green or blue but mine didn't really go to plan and the outside of the circle went to the faded colour and the inside of the circle went to solid colour.
This is my edges mind map and annotations, we made this to find our path of edges and what kind of photography under the subject of edges we wanted to do.
I made these pictures to play around with depth of field and low looking angles. I really wanted to get some extreme out of focus and in focus shots and also some where the picture had focus in some places and completely out of focus in other places.
Style of photos that I am interested in doing for my end of term project
These pictures were also playing around with depth of field and trying to get some low angle shots.
www: I took a fair amount of pictures that were all good and to the best of my ability and all went well.
EBI: I feel like to improve I need to choose a wider variety of places to take the low angle shots.

Photographs of Photographs
In this project above we had to go out and take some pictures of pictures that we had on our desk.
We had to find creative ways to photograph the pictures and we had to take five photos of each of the pictures and they had to be in different places every time. The whole idea of this task is to take the photos but to take them creatively.

I liked this because it was ground level view which reminds me of a on going edge because from ground level view everything looks so far away and seems smaller which for some reason reminds me of an endless edge.

It would have been better if I had taken more pictures but i didn't want to really because i just wanted a small gallery.

I uploaded the photos and aslo found new ways to play with the pictures and edit their colours.
My family gave good feed back and thought that my pictures were well edited and taken from good angles.
ebi
I took more pictures and spread them over a bigger space and also worked on my verity of areas this was all.
This was all construcctive feedback from my parents.
The people who came were my mum, my dad, my brother and my grandma.

This is a drawing that I did at a gallery in London on our school trip.
The idea of the drawing was to draw the dark areas of the painting and everyone either had a black piece of paper with a white pencil or a white piece of paper and a black pencil and if you had a white pencil you drew the lighter areas and if you had a back pencil then you draw the darker areas.

my final outcome
My final outcome was something that I made earlier in the year because I didn't really like the one that I made later in the year, I just thought that this one that i made earlier in the year was better because it took more time and effort and i just wanted to show the best of my work over this topic.
My favorite pictures from this project
All of these three images are from the same task but I still think that they are my favorite images not just because of the way that they look but because of the way that I made them, for example this one was made with the light from a phone and my phone case and it cme out looking quite good.
This image was made with a green pen and once again the light from a torch.
This image wasnt so much about the way I made it but the angle that I took it from. this picture I like for the one reason that it makes the piece of paper look really big and it just seems very interesting how you can do that just from the camera angle.
Edges project evaluation
This topic was probably my most favrioute because it really made me get creative with mirrors and angles and different types of uses of edges. This project made me broaden my horizens with photography and really find new things to do. I think that this topic is what really made me like photography and not just do it at school but to do it in my spare time and to make it not just a subject that i do at school but something that I can enjoy at home in my spare time. During the time that I had doing edges I have used corners, paper, the outside world, mind maps, weaves, booklets, drawings, pictures of pictures and ground level views and that is why this was my favrioute topic so far.
Final outcome weave
I am deciding wether to use my weave that I made a while ago, or I'm might use my final outcome that i made at home. The reason that i want to use my weave is because it went a lot better than my final out come that I made at home, the final outcome that I made at home was a collage with two pieces of paper that flipped out and had images on them with information next to them.
www
.I decided to make a weave because it looks interesting and it enables me to use two images and mute them together.
.I think my final outcome is effective because in a normal image you would have two images next to each other but in a weave you can make two images into one image.
.I enjoyed the weave because it was one of the first things that I made in photography and i was just proud of it because it was the first thing in photography that actually went well.`
.i have used the following habits in mind while making my final outcome: Persistent: sticking with difficulty collaborative: giving and receiving feedback inquisitive: exploring and investigating
.I have used weaving cutting and measuring in my final outcome
.i am developing my ability to cut with scapulas better.
ebi
.if i had more time i would have made the weave skinnier and also made the whole thing bigger
.in the future i would like to learn how to weave bigger
.I could have improved it by making a few more maybe
t.the habit of mind i need to improve the most is disciplined: reflecting critically

my final piece is a weave together of two of my images from earlier on on this project. What I did tomake it was I cut two printed pictures into indevidual strips and I used glue and a board to slowly but gradully weave them together. This piece wasnt reecent at all and I think that making decisions like that is one of the most important parts about coming to a final outcome because when you make decisions like, that it is making decisions to better your work, if you make something as a final piece it dosent nessacirly mean you have to use it, if you like something you made a while ago better because it is better then you can use that and I really like that aspect of the course. In conclusion I think that this final piece might be very simple but I think that doing creative things like this that combine your favourite pictures are a very good way of presenting work.
edges evaluation
I think that I have learnt alot from this project especially when it has been my first one, I hve learnt about alot of certian camera angles and styles of taking pictures that interest me, I have learnt that I like low angle shots from the floor or surface of things, I also found that this was a good way of capturing edges, another thing that I enjoyed doing is using a mirror, it gives a strange effect especially when its being looked at through a camera. Another big piece of photography that I never really focused on was lighting and types of lighting, nearer to the beginning of the edges project I did a photoshoot of a folded up piece of paper, we used a piece of paper because when you fold up a piece of paper it has many edges and it is just a generally good way of looking for edges, when we did the photoshoot we tried making different lighting and I just generally liked dooing it and finding different ways to change the lighting for example we used a mobile phone light and put coloured pens in front of it we also put a transparent phone case in front of it, doing this sort of thing is one of my favourite ways of photographing things. In conclusion, I think that I have come away from this having learnt alot of things that I am going to use in fututre and think that was a strong starting point to the rest of the course.
